I thought the movie was extremely overrated.

I personally liked Batman Begins a helluva lot more.

Heath Ledger's performance was indeed amazing, but nothing mindblowing in my opinion. If he didn't die, I personally think people would say the same thing.

As for the story, decent, kept me entertained. I think if the movie wasn't to over hyped, i would've liked it.

I agree. It would be completely unfair for The Dark Knight to win considered it's a "superhero" movie and those are out of the running for best picture.

Christian Bale's Batman voice annoyed the hell out of me.

The Joker was fucking epic.

They even out to a somewhat overhyped movie.

If I were to rate it, I would give it 7/10.

Did you know Christian Bale is the new Terminator?

I hate Christian Bale. He has the same acting abilities as Keanu Reeves.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I loved it (though Bale can leave his absolutely retarded Clint Eastwood-esque voice out to dry...seriously). Sure, it wasn't anything too amazing, and I would generally agree that maybe it doesn't really deserve to run for Best Picture of '08, but I was utterly entertained throughout the entire thing.

I actually had to go to the bathroom about halfway through the film, but didn't go till afterwards. Longest, most satisfying bathroom trip of my life, but it was well worth to sit in there and watch the Joker and Batman go out at it. As for the Joker...well, I personally am an unashamed fanboy of Ledger's performance, but I do suppose I can see why some people think he's a bit overrated in the film. At least he's no Two Face from Batman Forever, look at it that way.

Regardless of whether or not you liked the film, you've gotta admit that Nolan basically just set the new standard for superhero movies with this film and I think the real question is: where do you go from here?

I agree with you. Joker was the movie, which for batman fans, might of been upsetting. Not kidding either, whenever you hear The Dark Knight, you think, Joker, lol.

But yes, I can honestly say out of every single villian in a batman movie, Ledger was the best. I generally like him as an actor as well, so that's a plus.

I'm glad we all agree Bale should, burn.

I think they are going to continue, no doubt.

They will have a new villian, probably Penguin, so I don't see why they wouldn't continue the series.
